The Pavilion Grand Hotel is excited to celebrate its fifth anniversary. First opened in June 2014, the Pavilion Grand was built as a modern version of its historic namesake, the Pavilion Hotel, which opened in the summer of 1819.
The original Pavilion Hotel was developed by Henry Walton, an early land and hotel owner who played a significant role in the development of the city of Saratoga Springs. Walton opened the Pavilion Hotel in 1819 on the site that is presently home to City Hall. Sadly, the hotel was not rebuilt after a fire that occurred in 1840. The new Pavilion Grand Hotel stands just one block from the original location and has embraced all of the elements of the original hotel, providing old world hospitality and exceptional guest experiences.
Throughout its 5 years of operation, the Pavilion Grand Hotel has continued to evolve and offers some of the most spacious and unique suites in upstate New York, some of which total more than 2,000 square feet. Since opening its doors, Pavilion has been recognized by several outlets including I Love NY Tourism, who named Pavilion one of 12 Grand Dame Hotels in the state. The Huffington Post also featured the hotel in a list of the Top 10 Small but Surprisingly Posh Inns in the Northeast US. Pavilion’s amazing two floor suites have also been written about in Hudson Valley Magazine, Thoroughbred Daily News, Amtrak’s New York by Rail, and more.
The Hotel is also home to the businesses of Pavilion Square. Guests can enjoy ocean-to-table seafood from Fish at 30 Lake, coffee and a scone from the in-house Blue Peacock Bistro, or get their hair and makeup done at Make Me Fabulous Salon and Spa, operated by nationally recognized cosmetologist and esthetician, Alayne Curtiss. All of the businesses of Pavilion Square, in addition to the hotel itself, will be offering unique, exciting specials throughout the month of June in celebration of the 5 year anniversary.
In addition to providing everyday guests with exceptional experiences, the hotel continues to act as a venue for events such as weddings, meetings, holiday parties, and more. Looking to the future, Pavilion Grand Hotel is excited to be working on exclusive new trend setting amenities for guests, as well as new experience driven offerings such as the Rooftop Experience that will be available during Racing Season. The Hotel will also be introducing in-suite tablets called CRAVE. These devices will allow guests to order food, explore the area, book spa/hair appointments, and much more, all from the comfort of their hotel rooms. The staff at Pavilion is also continually working to understand what guests want and need when traveling, and using the information to provide the best guest experience possible, as they look forward to an exciting future.
